I am new to the forum. I just opened an account on Y!A, today and didn’t know about this section until I found it under Sports. I have been looking around the site, and you all seem like cool folks to me. I just started watching NASCAR late last year when my uncle got me into it, and I can’t believe how friendly and knowledgeable the fans are. It’s more like a big extended family than other sports events I’ve been to. You can even talk to and meet the drivers! Thanks to everyone for being so darn cool. NASCAR fans are the greatest fans in the world.
Now for my question. Where is a good site to find diecast collector cars? I would like to start collecting, and would appreciate some tips. Thanks.

Thank you Mark. You and Jonah are the newbies here and you see how welcome they make everybody feel. I don’t have any better answer to your question but I see that people have offered you suggestions. Jonah, Holly and I will be watching the Bristol race with great anticipation next week. Maybe Jonah will get to see Jimmie win for the first time at Bristol, I am hoping he is good luck for the 48 team LOL Thanks again to everybody for all the kind words, I am truly humbled.

Hey buddy welcome to Nascar! We are THE greatest fans in the world. I usually buy diecast cars from the race track I am attending because they are authentic and there is a wide variety. I don’t really know anywhere else thats good except maybe ebay. Have fun and watch out for the trolls in this area.

Welcome Mark Speed.
I’ve found some good deals on Ebay: from the main page click on Toys & Hobbies > Diecast Toy Vehicles > Cars, Trucks-Diecast > NASCAR
do yourself a favor, and look up some of the history on NASCAR, you’ll find some cool stuff!!

Welcome! I get most of my diecast’s from ebay. I have about 25 now and I love each one. I keep them in my china cabinet. I figure I’d rather have diecasts in it on display rather then china.
Enjoy!

You cant beat eBay !!
New Releases are always HOT ITEMS!
The use of patience is the key to cheaper prices, there is rarely a just cause to label something that is so mass produced as “RARE”
Dont buy into the hype.Understand die cast company’s have minimum production run numbers,a safe average is 50K pieces and up.
“Limited Edition” is another way vendors snag customers
An item may have 3K pieces under production run “A”,if they sell out then Production run “B” is released(another 3K pieces) etc.
COA’s are advertising fluff and generally not worth the paper their printed on.
Be a Smart Shopper !!
